Spencer + Audrey

Tuesday, November 21st, 2017

Happy 10 day Anniversary to Spencer and Audrey! In celebration of this grand day I’d like to present the first look at some of the images from their beautiful November wedding day. The Nashville weather can be quite unpredictable, and with some very chilly days leading up to the wedding day there was a little concern about temperatures. The wedding was being held at the amphitheater in the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. But as the day broke, the temps were mild and the skies were beautiful and the last traces of fall colors held fast to provide beautiful pops of color. Spencer started the day with his groomsmen at Monty’s barber shop getting straight razor shaves while the girls stayed in making their bouquets and getting made-up. The ceremony was as beautiful as the bride and as darkness and temperatures fell, the dancing heated things up. The newlyweds and their friends put on a swing dancing showcase that was a blast to watch. Congratulations Spencer & Audrey, and thank you for letting me be part of your amazing day!

Kai

Thursday, November 9th, 2017

Meet Kai, the cutest little shredder to tear up the mountain slopes. His family loves to snowboard, including his soon to be 4-year-old sister. and with his nursery done in a snowboard theme, it just called for an epic snowboard portrait. Not a bad view for the mountains of Mt Juliet. And someone so cute couldn’t go without getting some love from his adorable big sister either. Welcome to the world Kai…may the snow always be fresh and fluffy!

Aubrie – Class of 2018

Thursday, October 26th, 2017

Temperatures are finally falling, and the leaves are beginning to as well. And high school seniors are beginning to look ahead to the end of the school year and all that lies ahead for them. This includes Aubrie, Class of 2018. We had a fun session on a recent afternoon filled with lots of laughter and funny faces. As a dancer at her high school, Aubrie was at ease in front of the camera and made things easy for me. Her outfit selection was great and the colors worked well with the early fall colors that were showing off at Iriswoods Wedding and Events venue. Enjoy your senior year Aubrie, and best of luck to you in college!

Holland has arrived…

Saturday, October 21st, 2017

Almost a year ago, I was preparing to shoot the wedding of Chris and Alyssa on gorgeous fall day. And now, as the prepare to celebrate their first anniversary, they are also celebrating the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Holland Grace. She arrived with easy, and has been a blessing of a baby so far. Most 5lb baby girls I’ve worked with are quite spunky, but Holland was a dream to work with on her portrait session. Chris and Alyssa are some of the most genuinely sweet people I know, and I can not be more happy for them as they set out on this new journey in life together with Holland. Congratulations!Nashville Newborn Portraits

In Daddy's Hands

Lincoln’s turning 1

Tuesday, September 12th, 2017

One is the number of the day (yes, Sesame Street is on a constant loop in out house these days) and this time it’s Lincoln’s big first birthday. This handsome fellow was a bit reserved at first, but opened up quickly and his facial expressions were a hoot. Not to mention, he is quite the dapper dude. And when it came time for cake, he wasn’t as completely into smashing it, but he sure had fun with it. I hope you have a great first birthday Lincoln!
