Nic & Danielle

Monday, January 23rd, 2017

Christmas came a day early for Danielle this past year when her boyfriend Nic popped the question on December 24th. And of course, the answer was a resounding yes. Jump ahead a few weeks and we took advantage of a very mild January weekend to get some engagement portraits in to mark the special occasion. The planning of their September farm wedding is well under way, and I’m sure it will be an amazing day. Congratulations Nic and Danielle!!!

I was thrilled to get a call a few months ago from Sandra, a long-time client in Knoxville, letting me know she had met the man of her dreams and was getting married in December. It is always a honor to be a part of these special wedding days and this was no exception. It was great to see Sandra and her family again and to meet Jeff and his family. The happiness between Jeff and Sandra was unmistakable and it showed throughout the day. After months of warm and dry temperatures, the weather finally caught up with the calendar and we were treated with a cold and very wet day, but it didn’t slow anything down, and didn’t damped the spirits one bit. The sanctuary at Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The reception followed at Fleming’s Steak House. And to top things off, the rain tapered off in time for us to do a few portraits outside in front of the big Christmas tree to finish off their wonderful wedding day. Congratulations Jeff and Sandra!

A new bundle of joy has arrived and goes by the name of Olivia. She was even so gracious to hold off on her big entrance to the day after the University of Tennessee beat rival Florida so her UT-loving parents could enjoy the victory. Maybe Olivia is a does of good luck for the Vols as hours after our session, the Vols pulled off another amazing win over Georgia. Who knows, but I like the idea of this little cutie bringing some happiness the Vol Nation. She was a dream to work with, sleeping most of the session, and calming hanging out when she was awake. Welcome to the world Olivia, and keep those Vol wins coming!

Well, this is a long overdue blog post as it has been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. Between the holidays, and a typically slow January, I’ve taken full advantage of just being a stay home dad to our little girl, who is a happy, feet-grabbing, rolling  5-month-old now. But it’s time to get back to work, so to kick things off, let me introduce you to a sweet little guy by the name of Luca. And I do mean little, as he weighed in at only 6lbs 1 oz, and dropped a few ounces afterward. He was on the climb back up when I got my hands on him though. He was quite alert for part of the session, but soon tuckered out and let us get some great portraits of him. He especially loved the extra attention from his mom and dad during all this. Enjoy, and stay tuned for several other recent sessions in the coming days!

Landon has arrived!

Thursday, December 17th, 2015

A few weeks ago, I shared some images from Landon’s coming soon session here, and now the wait is over. Let me introduce Landon, a cute, and quite strong little guy who is quite content at being all snuggled up. He’s no little guy either, coming in at 8 pounds and 5 ounces and a touch over 21 inches long. He also looks great in a pair of jeans. Welcome to our world Landon, you’re quite the precious Christmas gift for your parents!
