Behind the Camera

Thanks for stopping by and taking an interest in my photography and me. First and foremost, I am a devoted husband to an incredible woman, and a father to a pair of equally incredible boys. I tell you this because the experiences I have gained from these roles have helped me become the portrait and wedding photographer I am today. I love taking portraits of children and capturing that one moment in their quickly changing world. I have been amazed at how fast they grow and change. Being able to freeze time while taking a portrait of their true personality has been a blessing to me as a father. I look forward to giving you the same feeling of pride with each of your portraits. The eyes of a child are truly a window to the world. They are so full of amazement and wonder.
I also take great pride in the weddings that I am honored to document. So special, unique and full of emotion, the wedding day can be such a blur to the bride and groom. Showing the couple everything that took place that day is a privilege. Drawing on my degree and work experience in photojournalism, I document the stories of the bride and groom as they come together as one.
Outside of photography, I enjoy reading books (Carl Hiaasen is my favorite author) and as many magazines as I can. Having two kids has severely cut into this time, but that is fine, because playing with them is also a favorite past time. I believe just being outside is a wonderful thing, so any chance I get to spend playing and biking with the family is a good day.
I’m also not crazy about bringing attention to myself. So I’m just going to stop here, and let you get back to looking at the site, which loves attention, so feel free to comment, and let me know what you like!
