Now, a little more about the office. I will be sharing the space with fellow photographer Wes Hope of Hope Photography.  We have very similar views on wedding and portrait photography and have been looking for a way to work together for some time.  The space is perfect for meeting clients, delivering orders, and holding viewing sessions. As the last pieces fall into place, I’ll pass along more details here. In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of one of the rooms and what it will look like when some of the canvas prints arrive.

…to place your Mother’s Day orders! Hard to believe, but it is already mid-April and Mother’s Day is only a month away. The deadline to order any of my portrait jewelry is April 20th. For the portrait bags, it is April 25th and Gallery wrap canvases is May 2nd. All other gift prints can be ordered up to the 7th of May. I can take Mother’s Day orders after these dates, but a rush charge would have to be applied, so try to get your orders in early. Any photo from any session can be used, so if you have a favorite from a past session, these are some great ways to really show it off. I realized that I put the jewelry up on my site a while back, but never posted any photos here on the blog. Almost all of the pieces are sterling silver and are water proof. Prices start at $90, with most of the pendants priced at $125. With the pendants, you have several choices of necklaces as well. I’ve been working to get ready for the Women’s Today Expo lately. This has included getting samples of the bags and jewelry that I will be offering this year as well as new sample books. This includes a new sample wedding album,  as well as a new portfolio book of my infant and children portraiture.  Below is the cover and a couple of two page spreads from the book. As I was nearing the end of the book, I was wanting a certain type of photo fro a full page, but couldn’t find one to fit my vision, so I called up some good friends with an adorable 17-month old to see if I could get some new photos. Barbara was more than willing to get some new photos of her daughter Mallory in her stylish new coat so off we set to a field not far from their house. The first photo of Mallory is the one going in the book, and hopefully the others will be going on some of Barbara’s walls! Thank you for letting me borrow your precious girl for some great photos.  Now that I’ve teased you with a couple of pages, you will have to come visit me at the Expo to see the rest.  You will also be able to see a copy at Crib-n-Carriage following the Expo. Locally-owned Crib-n-Carriage is Knoxville’s premier store for infant/ juvenile furniture and accessories. A must visit for all expectant parents!

The beautiful Mallory…

This is going to be a busy year with lots of new things for J Davis Photography. The Blog was the first, but now I’m ready to start showing you new ways of displaying your great JDavis Photos. And a new logo to go with the new name ( how many of you caught that?). As well as lots of new people to meet at my Women’s Today Expo booth (more on that later!).

During a recent trade show in Tampa, I discovered a lot of new products that photos can be printed on, mounted on and made into. Several that I really liked were bags and totes. So after much reseach, I am now offering a line of bags that you can use to show off your photos no matter if you are going out for a night on the town or down to the beach. Below are several samples, and you can see the entire line up here: PortraitBags

The bags are made from an extremely durable micro fiber and are available with leather trim. Most can have a photo on either side. The photos become part of the bag through a sublimation process that actually embeds the image into the fabric. The result is an extremely clear image that will not fade, crack or peel.  I will have samples of the bags at my booth at the Women’s Today Expo (March 14-16), so please come visit me and see the bags for yourself!

Mother’s Day will be here before you know it and any of these bags would make a great gift. Call me to place an order using any photos from prior shoots, or better yet, be up-to-date and call me to schedule a new session for some great new photos! Looking forward to hearing from you!
