I had a blast with this maternity session, and am just as excited to meet baby Stella as her family is.  Mamma has a beautiful baby bump and has enjoyed sharing this special time with soon-to-be big sister Clara.

This last one is my most requested maternity portrait, and I love shooting it. While it is always a similar pose, the flow of the fabric is always different, elegant and really brings out the beauty of the pregnant form.

I’m back!!! I made it to the other side of the wonderful, but busy holiday portrait season. Still a few shoots on my plate, but the majority of sessions are over, Christmas cards are printed and delivered and the last of the prints, canvases and portrait bags are in production. I took a break from blogging about my sessions so I could just concentrate on getting everybody’s portraits turned around so cards and gifts could be ordered. But now it is time to play catch-up and show off some of those great sessions and cute kids. So sit back, get comfortable, grab that cup of hot chocolate and enjoy!

First up is Jessica, Joshua and their baby sister Jocelyn.

This is Owen and his brand new, just in time for Christmas, baby sister Ally.

Trece just celebrated his first birthday and is oh-so close to walking. Fun times!

Braden will definately be getting a memorable gift this Christmas… a baby brother! He is currently facinated with mommy’s “outtie” and couldn’t stop poking it through out our session.

These cute siblings are Fletcher and Lilly Ann. They are quite excited about Christmas, however Lilly Ann  was much less excited about the photo shoot. She had to be reminded several times that Santa is watching.  Such a great way of keeping kids in check this time of year!

And for the final set of part one of the December Dozen… the super-cute 8-month-old Annalee. She was so expressive and just had a ball rolling around and playing with her hats, bear and of course, being “nekkid.”

I’m back!!! No, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth. Nothing like a weekend of the flu, and then another mini-vacation weekend to get one behind on blogging. Anyway, things will be picking up now that fall portraits are in full swing, so no more long delays between posts. First up is a teaser of little Miss Ava, still hiding in her momma’s baby bump. She will be here in a few weeks and everybody is anxiously awaiting her arrival. Check back in about a month to see Ava’s first portraits.

Just wanted to share two great websites that I have found, and will be working with in the future. They are the Knoxville Wedding Daily Times and the Baby Daily Times Knoxville edition. Both sites have national versions, but it is the local versions that I think will benefit you the most. For those brides out there, the wedding daily times is like one stop shopping for all your vendor needs. It is a great place to find out what is happening in the Knoxville wedding scene. The Baby Times has everything parents need to know no matter how old your child is, as well as a great list of businesses that help make parenting a little bit easier. And both sites have one other feature that I just love, and that’s a monthly photo contest. Find the link on the front page of both sites and choose from several categories and see some great work by area photographers. Don’t forget to cast your vote for your favorite images as well (which I hope are mine of course!) I plan on entering some of my favorites images each month. So it may just be one of your images up there wait for your vote.  Anyway, I just wanted to share those sites with you. Another busy week ahead and lots to share. Just wanted to share a few portraits from a great maternity session I had the other evening. I love the excitement and anticipation that first-time expectant parents give off. Finlee is not due for a few more weeks, but may not wait for her due date, so we didn’t want to wait any longer to capture these portraits of her mom and dad.  She is not here yet, but already they so proud, and very ready to hold their baby girl. I’m excited for them and look forward to meeting Finlee too!
