Doug & Julie

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Well, according to the calendar, spring is here. You wouldn’t know it by looking out the window today and seeing freezing rain falling from the grey sky, but we got a taste of it the other day. In addition to warm temperatures and chirping birds, love was in the air, especially between these two. Doug and Judy will be tying the know next month and wanted to get some portraits done to have made into a guest signature book. We had a great time and brought Doug’s adorable granddaughter, Avery, along to add a pinch of cuteness. Enjoy, and congratulation Doug and Julie.

Craig & Amy

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Flowers are blooming, birds are singing and brides are walking down the isles. Wedding season is here for sure. Amy will be one of those brides during her nuptials to Craig later this summer in Maryville. The two of them made a trip down from Iowa during a recent break in their grad school studies to work on some arrangements first hand, and to have their engagement portraits made. After a week or so of rain the previous week, I was worried about the small window we had to work with during their visit, but we were blessed with the perfect East Tennessee weather. We met down in Maryville and enjoyed a leisurely stroll down the greenway and through downtown before a stop at Maryville College.  I’m looking forward to their big day, and the way this year is going, it will be here before we know it.

We found this dress for sale in a window and couldn’t pass up a little romantic moment.

Megan + Kevin

Spring is here and love is in the air! I had a great time with Megan and Kevin this weekend over on the other side of the mountains in Asheville, NC for their engagement session. They are getting married this summer in what has been promised to be super-fun wedding. We did their e-session on location at a big fancy home over there, which also happens to be where Kevin popped the question during a visit to the gardens last year. They have stressed the importance of photos from their wedding (I just have to love that!) and so we had fun getting to know each other better on a perfectly beautiful spring day. I’m looking forward to their wedding day as I can really see the love these two share and know that it will be a blessed union. That and it will be one fun party of course! Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend. Enjoy, and feel free to leave the happy couple some love.

Megan said it was a dream of hers to run barefoot through the front lawn, so we did! It was a blast, and some of the softest grass  I’ve ever felt.
